When going for a car ride, it is worth equipping the vehicle with a car recorder, which allows you to record the course of the trip. It is extremely useful in case of a dangerous situation occurring on the road, as it can be recorded and played back.
The CVR31 by PRIME3 is a small, compact device which is attached to the windscreen of a car by means of a bracket with a suction cup. The device records the route in Full HD quality and saves it on a microSD memory card. It also takes high-resolution pictures. The 140⁰ wide angle lens allows you to capture virtually the entire view in front of your vehicle. It also provides a detailed video image which can be recorded in 1920 x 1080P \ 1280 x 720P \ 640 x 480P \ VGA (30 fps). The CVR31 has a built-in microphone for recording sound. Thanks to its speaker and 1.5-inch diagonal LCD display, recordings can be viewed directly on the device, without having to connect it to a laptop or phone.
The recorder supports cards with a maximum capacity of 32 GB, and the material can be recorded in 1, 2, 3 or 5-minute loops. The CVR31 is equipped with a motion detector which activates the recorder as soon as it detects motion in the device’s field of view, as well as with the G-Sensor. This is a function which, in the event of a sudden braking of the car or a strong impact, blocks the video file which started 10 seconds before the accident and ended 1, 2, 3 or 5 minutes after it (depending on the time settings of the device). The film is saved as a special file which will not be included in loop recording. Parking monitoring, which is also included in the CVR31, ensures that the recorder automatically starts recording in the event of any movement of the vehicle or when the vehicle is hit. This happens even when the engine is not running.
With both the G-Sensor and the parking mode, the users can adjust the sensitivity of these functions to their needs. The built-in 180 mAh battery is powered directly from the cigarette lighter outlet via the mini USB 2.0 port.
